Formula One installs induction heat across 132 sites nationwide
10th May 2024Formula One Autocentres has invested in induction heating across their network to remove flame from their workshops. Formula One has reportedly seen the benefits of induction heating and made a significant investment by installing GYS Powerduction 39LG units in all 132 sites nationwide.

Genan: “Back on track” in 2023 following “annus horribilis”
13th May 2024Danish firm Genan, the world's largest mechanical tyre recycling group, achieved a turnover of €58.7 million in 2023. This represents a seven per cent decrease compared to the previous year. However, despite the lower turnover, the company increased its EBITDA by over 50 per cent to almost €9.4 million, while operating profit (EBIT) multiplied from just over €750,000 to €3.2 million. Net profit, influenced negatively by exchange rate fluctuations, increased from €1.5 to €2 million.

Goodyear reports net loss of $57 million in Q1 2024 figures
While Goodyear reported a net loss of $57 million in the first quarter of 2024, other metrics suggest that the company’s financial situation is offering signs of improvement. A strong showing from the Asia Pacific region and the welcome “stabilisation” of truck tyre demand in EMEA were both notable examples of improvement alongside the impact of Goodyear’s well-documented Goodyear Forward transformation plan.
