FRIEZE NEW YORK 2024: CELEBRATING ART AND THE CITY
Frieze New York 2024 returns to The Shed in New York with a new curator for Focus, more than 60 galleries from 25 countries and an extensive program of events and activations. This year’s edition will be held from May 1-5.
TRACES IN ORDER TO REMEMEBR: BETSABEÉ ROMERO
The Fund for Park Avenue and its Sculpture Committee have invited two artists, Betsabeé Romero and Jorge Otero-Pailos to exhibit their sculptures on Park Avenue from March through October 2024. Their eight works are presented in conjunction with New York City (NYC) Parks’ Art in the Parks program.
BONAVENTURE SOH BEJENG NDIKUNG WILL BE THE CHIEF CURATOR OF THE 36TH SÃO PAULO BIENNALE
The Fundação Biennale de São Paulo announced that Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung will be the chief curator of the 36th São Paulo Biennale, to be held during the second half of 2025.
PINTA PArC 2024 AMPLIFIED THE LATIN-AMERICAN ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
Pinta PArC closed its 14th edition with more than 200 artists and 44 galleries. From April 24 to 28, 2024 at Casa Prado, the fair brought together curators, gallery owners, artists, collectors and art lovers.
HERENCIA. PROYECTO 360º AND THE RECONSIDERATION OF OUR ACTIONS
The Seville-based Fundación Valentín de Madariaga y Oya raises in its collective exhibition Herencia. Proyecto 360º the need to reconsider actions and return to the essential and almost primary link through the observation and analysis of our environment and its possibilities. The show gathers the work of fifteen international artists who become instrumental through their works for this purpose.
VIDEO PROJECT: THE PERSISTENCE OF THE SELF
Curated by Irene Gelfman, the Video Project section at Pinta PArC invited galleries to present projects that revolve around the themes of ancestral practices, community work, Amazonia and nature.
