As my thesis project for the inaugural graduation of the Low-Res Program MFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I proposed a video-installation that documented the work of my peers through the making their own thesis projects — a documentary about process and collaboration that would not only unfold within a fixed screen but also across space and material and sound configurations. During a four week period I went into the galleries to shoot video and gather both materials and moments.
Even though it was displayed publicly at the School galleries, the work remained partially completed until the final week of the exhibition, during my thesis presentation, when my peers and I went into the work and collectively altered it for the last time. Once the moment passed, we stood ecstatic and inquisitive over a rubble of ruins.
AFUENTRO

AFUENTRO was an installation-video-performance held at Ruby galería
in Buenos Aires in March, 2016. The setting up of the exhibition served
simultneously as a laboratory for material research, and the process of
this research was transformed into a short film bearing the same name.
The short film was shown during the opening along with an initial live
performance.
Special thanks to Maricel Nowacki, Nicolás Sarmiento and María Egan for their collaboration in the project.

What are the stories that can be told on an object made of styrofoam? How could a narrative develop around the shape of the object that contains it?

Dailies, in filmmaking,
is the raw, unedited footage shot during the making of a motion
picture. They are so called because usually at the end of each day, that
day’s footage is developed, synced to sound, and printed on film in a
batch (or telecined onto video tape or disk) for viewing the next day by
the director and some members of the film crew. However, the term can
be used to refer to any raw footage, regardless of when it is developed
or printed.
