If you’re anything like me, you believe your dog is not just an animal, but a unique soul with one of a kind characteristics. That is why I believe your session is about more than just photography; it’s about your pet.

Your entire experience is custom designed with your one-of-a-kind pet in mind. All the details, such as the when, where and how, will all be determined based on the style you prefer and the needs of your pet… and don’t worry if you dog needs to stay on leash, it will be removed during the editing process so the focus always remains on your special pup.

The ultimate goal of every Doggy Did It session is to capture those real expressions you love most, and carefully curate a collection that highlights your dog’s most lovable qualities. Your experience will leave you with archival quality artwork filled with fun and personality that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Beautiful elderly poodle dog in a fall photography session

Hi! I’m Amy.

I’m a life-long lover of all animals… even those “yucky” ones (just as long as they don’t have eight legs) and I’ve always enjoyed taking photos. However, I really only began my photography journey when I fell head over heels in love with a rescued miniature poodle named Truffles; you can see all her fluffy cuteness in the picture above. I just couldn’t get enough of all that floof and was so proud to call her my own.

Inspired, I began studying photography at Sheridan College. While all my classmates were focusing on human subjects, I was the weird one with silly animal photos. Since then, I have gained almost 10 years of experience exclusively photographing pets, with a focus on dogs, and have become a Pro Member of the Pet Photographers Club.

I also went on to earn a certificate in basic animal psychology which allows me to remain in-tune with how your furry loved one is feeling throughout the session. This is the secret behind the Doggy Did It difference; I know how to read their body language and actively work to keep them relaxed enough to be their wonderfully silly self, ensuring your artwork undoubtedly reflects the true beauty of their unique personality.

Now that Truffles is no longer with me it’s the memories of her that I treasure most. The archival quality artwork I’ve created will last a lifetime so her big personality will always be filling my home with joy.

And now I want to do the same for you… trust me, it's worth it!

- Emily (Caledon)

“Amy captured my dog and my cat’s expressions and personality perfectly. Not only that, they had so much fun during the photo shoot! I tried for ten years to get a proper picture of them both, so happy to have such amazing photos. Thank you Amy!”
