                                       Confronting Your Limitations

                                                Ephesians 3:20

                                              Limitation 2 : IGNORANCE

We are discussing today about IGNORANCE as a limiting factor in doing exploits. The first impediment we touched on yesterday was The MIND. Remember we have already said that God is Able to do and exceed our expectations according to His word (Ephesians 3:20).

Minister Kevin L. A. Ewing once said....
"IGNORANCE IS THE KEY NOTE SPEAKER TO THE AUDIENCE OF LIMITATION."

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you...."
I have grown to realize that ignorance is responsible for most of our limitations in life, not the devil. Jesus empowered us as Christians, through the power of The Cross. We have a place for the devil and that is under our feet.

Therefore the power the devil has upon us was voluntarily conferred to him by us mostly through ignorance.
Isaiah 5:13 says '...my people are gone into captivity for lack of knowledge....' Proverbs 29:18 on the same matter says also that 'Where there is no vision , the people perish...'

Imagine that for thousands of years people lived in darkness until Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1879. All material was available but people were just ignorant. Therefore ignorance prejudiced mankind. Julius Caesar did not have an e-mail address. Lord help us, what else don't we have that would make our lives better but still hidden from us owing to ignorance?

May The Lord help us eradicate ignorance from our lives.

Who really is concerned about you, Who really cares about you, Who really can save mankind?

People around us claim, we run after them only to be hurt. They actually have many questions they can't find answers themselves.

A man was trapped in a pit and was crying for help.

The learned philosopher cameby, he only could say "my brother, the pit is in your head"

The modern day Pharisee also came by (you know them don't you). He said "only sinners fall into pits, you deserve it".
The Charismatic Preacher also came by and said "just confess that you are not in that pit and it shall be well with you, just declare it".

An optimist came also and said "things could have been worse my brother".

The realist came and said " I am really sorry you are in a real pit, be reconcilled with your situation"
The Newspaper guy came and begged "I will pay you for an exclusive on how life is in a pit".

The politician came and said "oh brother, I feel your pain".

Does all this remove the brother out of the pit?. No...... The world has no clue at all

It is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour who has ALL our ANSWERS. He came and took all of us out of the pit, We were ALL  going to hell but He came to save us. He cares and He loves us.

STORMS OF LIFE 3by Judah Danda

                                                                                                        HOW TO SURVIVE STORMS

                                                                                                                                       ACTS 27:18-44

276 men were on a ship to Italy and most were prisoners together with Paul. In verse 10 Paul had warned of the storm but nobody listened thinking that he was afraid to go for trial.

-LISTEN

most of the time God warns us before but either we choose not to listen or we just don’t hear Him. These days with so much noise around, nobody has time to be still and listen Psalm 46:10

-CONFESS

like with the story of Jonah, they began to throw cargo into the sea trying to make the vessel light. Confess your sins to God so you make the your soul light.

Acts 27:18 “We took such a violent battering from the storm that the next day they began to throw the cargo overboard.”

-DON’T LOOSE HOPE

Acts 27:20 “When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved.” We meet such situations at times, situations that drain us of all hope. Remember weeping may endure for a night but joy has its own time, in the morning. Don’t lose hope, whatever you are going through.

-GOD WILL DROP A WORD OF HOPE…

Acts 27:22“But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed.” . A timely word of Prophercy. Even when they didn’t listen to God’s word before the storm, God spoke yet again a word of hope. He is a loving God.

-SEEK GOD,PRAY & FAST

Acts 27:33. they fasted 14 days, even if it was not voluntary, till Paul broke bread. God is not far to reach you, he is not deaf to hear your petitions.

In times of storms, do not panic. Do not panic at all…calm down and be still to hear from God, Confess your sins, Don’t lose hope, Seek God in prayer and fasting and God will surely drop a word, an answer to your storm.
