If you are an amateur or professional athlete, a fitness fanatic, or a weekend warrior, our staff can help you increase your strength, and improve your mobility and performance. Our experienced therapists have worked with athletes of all ages, at all levels, and in a variety of sports. 

Relaxation

Take a break, relieve some tension, and have a moment for yourself. We understand that not all symptoms are the result of trauma or injury. Allowing time for your body to recharge with a massage, acupuncture,and other manual techniques can go a long way.

Path to Wellness is an integrated group of health professionals that combine their expertise for the sole purpose of helping their clients achieve their health and fitness goals.

Direct Billing

Path to Wellness offers direct billing for participating group insurers.  Please contact your benefits provider for details of your coverage. We also accept claims and treat injuries as a result of motor vehicle and workplace accidents. Payments are arranged directly with your auto insurer or WSIB.

Domenic has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2003. He graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education with Honours in Kinesiology and has a diploma in Massage Therapy. Domenic has worked with several NHL, CFL, NFL and Olympic athletes. He was the therapist for the Calgary Flames for the 2015-2019 seasons. Domenic has also worked as a massage therapist for the Canadian Women’s National Hockey Team from 2006 to 2014. He was the team’s therapist for both the Vancouver 2010 and the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, both of which they won gold. He was also the therapist for the Toronto Argonauts’ 2014 and 2015 seasons and worked at the Pan American Games in 2015.  Domenic enjoys treating a diverse group of clients from athletes to the general public of all ages.

Andrea Purdy has been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) since 2005. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Sociology from Trent University and received a Diploma of Massage Therapy from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic for Massage Therapy. She is also an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and an active member of the Ontario Massage Therapy Association (OMTA).

Andrea has a variety of experiences in massage therapy, most notably, she has worked with The Canadian Women’s National Hockey Team since 2012. She was the team’s massage therapist at the 2018 PeyongChang and 2022 Beijing Olympics where Canada won silver and gold respectively. Andrea also works with individual professional athletes, children and families who lead busy and active lifestyles.

Andrea has experience and knowledge working in Sport and Rehabilitation Therapy, Sports Massage, Cranial Therapy, Facial Stretch Therapy (FST), Cupping Therapy, Myofascial Release, Pre and Post Natal, Infant Massage, Repetitive Strain, Sports Related Injuries, Hydrotherapy and Joint Mobilizations.

Andrew completed his Masters of Physiotherapy at McMaster University — in addition to obtaining a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Kinesiology and a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion at Guelph-Humber University. He was inspired to pursue a career in Physiotherapy after experiencing a variety of sport-related injuries. Andrew has played competitive hockey as well as participated in recreational soccer and basketball. With his experiences and participation in sports, and combined interest in healthcare, Andrew has experienced and learned the benefits of having an empowering and motivational therapist to reach and exceed set goals. He aims to provide similar experiences to his clients, along with providing holistic and personalized treatment plans. His therapy approach includes manual therapy, exercise therapy, as well as education to reduce pain and improve everyday function. Outside the clinic, Andrew enjoys participating in all sports, working out, and spending time with friends.

Cristina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from York University and a Diploma in Massage Therapy from Oxford College.  After 20 years in the music industry, Cristina opted for a career change after a motor vehicle accident left her in chronic pain for 8 years.  Through physiotherapy and massage therapy, Cristina was able to regain strength, flexibility, and stamina that she had lost due to her accident.  As a massage therapist, her new career goals are to help people overcome pain from various injuries and to help clients improve movement, flexibility, and their quality of life.  Cristina has considerable experience with office workers, prenatal massage, and athletic massage for children.

Justin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a diploma in Massage Therapy with honours from Oxford College. He has worked largely with runners, cyclists, geriatric and palliative care patients. Aligning his treatment focus to the client’s own objectives for overall improved health, Justin draws on a wide variety of techniques to ensure impactful changes as a result of each treatment. Justin believes that massage therapy is an essential component to encouraging improved flexibility and movement within the body which is fundamental to an enhanced quality of life.

Our registered massage therapists treat a variety of conditions, and provide supportive care to their patients. Whether you are preventing, or recovering from an injury, looking to relax, or getting ready to perform at your highest level, our experienced massage therapists are here to help.

Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapists provide hands-on manual therapy techniques and active rehabilitation exercises to their patients. Each treatment is spent entirely with our experienced physiotherapists, as we believe spending quality time with our patients will ultimately result in a quicker recovery. 

Chiropractic Therapy

Our chiropractors use an integrative approach to address a patient’s individual needs to customize their personalised treatment plan.  Our chiropractors have experience treating professional and amateur athletes, traumatic injuries, and general aches and pains. 

Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been proven to be an extremely effective treatment for many conditions and pain relief.  Our therapists use a scientific approach to stimulate the peripheral nervous system for therapeutic purposes. 

Custom Foot Orthotics

Custom foot orthotics are inserts used to promote proper functional movement during your everyday activity. Our therapists will complete a full biomechanical exam prior to fitting you with your custom orthotics, and provide the necessary documentation for your insurance provider. 

Compression Stockings

Compression stockings are specialized stockings that exert compression to the legs and improve blood flow. It is the recommended primary treatment for venous insufficiency and decreasing swelling in the legs. 

Custom Knee Bracing

Custom knee braces are effective in the management of many conditions. Braces are used for injury/surgery recovery, prevention, and support for daily activities.  When prescribed by your doctor, our therapists can properly fit you for your brace.
