Just saw Dune part 2. I really like that they show/tell us that Feyd Rautha Harkonnen has passed the gom jabbar test. It adds another layer of "messianic leaders suck", I mean shure he was not "a good guy" but he was at least "human" in the benne Jesuit way of thinking. Unlike his brother or kusin (it is hard to remember a whole blodline okay....) Beast Rabban.

The sequel Star Wars trilogy was always about Rey - and maybe that is why you aren't into it

No, it is not about none of your favourite charming boys.

It was only about Rey.

In The Force Awakens, Snoke and Kylo Ren discuss in the trone room that both of them felt an awakining in the force. It was obsviously Rey.

The Last Jedi could only be her, since Luke dies and neither Ben or Leia finished their training.

For the last, the most controversial one: The Rise of Skywalker, where we finally lear about Rey's familly.

Which lead us to pay atention to her grandfather.

You must have in mind two things about Papalpatine to fully understand this movie: he is a survivor and very very manipulative.

What means he thinks incridible fast when the situation not goes with his plans and he knows how to string the cords of people to do exactly what he wants.

So, he managed to have a kid. I don't think anyone could ever fall in love with him, neither he would be interested in to live something like that, so I believe his kid cames from a rape or any dark sith ritual.

But his kid wasn't force sensitive or if it was, chose the light and love and had Rey. To not have any risk of losing another child to the light - like his own son or even Anakin - his original plan was to take Rey when she was very young. It didn't work out.

She was abandonated in Jakku and that trauma bloked any manifestation of the force in her.

So he lost the track of her and waited, since he already had a another plan going on: Ben Solo.

Even before birth Ben was being manipulated until he had no other choice than joining the darkness.

And the talented and tormented boy was very very important for the growing of the First Order and Palpatine's power.

When the force brought Rey and Ben together, Palpatine imediatly interfired, by showing them the forcebond and controling them through it - Snoke took credit for it, but now we know that he was only a Palpatine creation.

And now Palpatine found a way to be in both of their minds and manipulate them directly.

The thing about manipulation is that you don't have to say exactly what you want to afford the desired response.

Most of the times, you must say precisily the oposite of that.

That is why Palpatine says to Kylo kill Rey. He was already aware of Kylo's feelings and intencion to betray him - Palpatine is almost sarcastic while reprehending Kylo to let Rey go alive.

Never forget that Palpatine was all the time inside Kylo head, not only hearing, but controling his thoughts.

Palpatine also knew Rey would hate and fear her heritage. But also that she couldn't simply let it go. So he just waited she came to him.

His initial plan was to live throught Rey, by allowing her killing him. But in the minute he is aware of the dyad in the force, he decides to live by himself and to kill both of them.

Perhaps by arogance, Palpatine didn't expected that Rey could ever beat him.

Rey only did it because Ben was there too - remember that they are stronger together. That explain why Ben appears so weak after climbing the cliff, even tough he did not suffered any hard injure while fighting the Knights.

So yeah, Ben Solo was just the side boy of Rey. The dark side of the force, necessary to balance it. A toll used by Palpatine to grow the First and Final Order, increasing his power and a conection to Rey. Ben was also the love interesting of Rey. He died to save her. He not even had a line to say (he doens't need to because Adam Driver is fucking amazing while changing his entire face and body expression to show us without a word that our boy was back).

Maybe this compensates what they had done with Padme, when they reduced her in a "pregnant-love-interest-who-dies-to-justify-the-heros-fall".

This time, our female hero ends with her soulmate literaly living inside her, so she is complete and has the power of all the Jedi. Also, she found what she always wanted: a family. I honestly don't think how she could rise beyond that.

She owned the Skywalker name, more than well desirved, not by the traditional way of mariage, but by pure choice of wanting being part of a family. Not following the path of your blodline is a very important message of the whole franchise, so I don't get why people dislike Rey calling herself a Skywalker.

Please, please, try to see this new trilogy by itself. I am not saying it is perfectly done, but t is good and makes sense, if you just try to understand it by itself, not based on your own expectations and theories.

Final (maybe?) batch of assorted Octopath Traveler II theories and observations before TotK drops (I promise I am not procrastinating something else ~ <3). Divided into sections based on topic, but there's no meaningful organization, it's more just a list of some of my other theories and thoughts.

As usual, major spoilers for everything including the endgame. I'm still not trying to argue for or against any particular theory, I'm just herding the stray thoughts in my head. So as usual, all theories are based on my own reading of the text, nothing's canon or word of god, it's all wild speculation and good fun.

I need to get it out by all means don't mind my rambling.

I think maybe Roman Reigns was so angry on Raw, because he doesn't understand why Sami would not defend himself to him, not defend his place in HIS family. If He was in Sami's place he would do everything to proof his loyalty to the family...

that's just how it should be in his opinion. Family was always a big thing for Roman since day one. His bloodline and also his Shield brotherhood.

And maybe he is also a little bit jealous. He's seeing the bond that is developing between Jey and Sami and he doesn't like it. But maybe just a tiny part of him would like to be able to form real connections again.T hat Man is scared of being left in the dust by anyone and also can't and doesn't want to trust anyone since Seth and the damn steel chair.

So maybe in his mind he not only needs to watch Sami and what he's doing but he possibly will start to look at Jey with suspicious again. Maybe all members of the Blodline will need to proof again that there is nothing more important than this family and that they acknowledge Roman as the Head of the Table.

Anyways I don't think he is loosing his cool , I think there is a big possibility that that he has Plan A-F ready to set in motion and he is just watching and waiting for now.

Welcome to summer everyone. It’s been kinda cloudy for the longest day of the year but still. Enjoy the sun!

So last year I really got into D&D, and have found it to be a great experience and something I really enjoy participating in. Some of my friends have also gotten dragged into playing, wich is why we are currently in the planning stages of our campaign, wich will take place on Ravnica. This is the character I'll be playing, Ikari. She is a Moon Elf draconic blodline sorcerer. And because this is our personal campaign, and because homebrew is a thing she has a bit of a problem comtrolling her magic, so wild magic will be somethin she'll have to deal with. I'm really looking foreward to the campaign and getting to play Ikari. So humans, or humanoids are something I really need to practise drawing a lot more. I find them quite dificult to draw. I therefore decided to try drawing the character I'll play in the upcomming campaign with my irl freinds, and I must say that I'm really happy with the results. Constructive critisism and pointers on how I could improve would be much appreaciated.
