El 1937, HG Wells va predir la creació del “Cervell Mundial”, una enorme biblioteca global que contenia tot el coneixement humà i que conduiria a una nova forma major d’intel·ligència. Setanta anys després, la realització d’aquest somni ja estava en marxa quan Google va escanejar milions de llibres per a la seva pàgina web Google Books. Més de la meitat d’aquests llibres, però, estaven encara sota drets d’autor, i grups d’autors d’arreu del món van llençar una campanya per aturar-lo, que va culminar en els jutjats de Nova York el 2011. Una pel·lícula sobre els somnis, els dilemes i els perills d’Internet, filmada en unes localitzacions espectaculars de la Xina, els EUA, Europa i Amèrica Llatina.
