Dwayne Bowe potential free agent signing for the Cleveland Browns

The former Kansas City Chiefs WR is in Cleveland visiting with the Browns as he looks for his new NFL home in 2015.

The Cleveland Browns are a team very much in a state of flux. Uncertainty at the quarterback position under newly signed quarterback Josh McCown and Johnny Manziel still in rehab, the team has turned their attention to bringing in a wide receiver who could possibly help fill the void left by suspended wide out Josh Gordon.

According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, the former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe is in Cleveland meeting with the team in hopes of finding a home in 2015. Bowe is coming off a disappointing season, but any wide receiver who played for Andy Reid and the Chiefs last year could echo that sentiment as the Chiefs went an entire season without throwing a touchdown pass to a wide receiver.

If Bowe decides to join the Browns, he would join former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline as new faces to a Browns lineup now faced on not just replacing Gordon's production but also Jordan Cameron's, who jettisoned for the Dolphins via free agency.

The Browns are certainly a team in a difficult situation residing within the highly competitive AFC North. The Browns showed signs of life in 2014, but ultimately fell apart down the stretch. Most would agree Bowe wouldn't be considered the answer, but could help provide another threat to the Browns' offense moving forward.
