JUCO Linebacker Paris Bostick Commits to Oregon

Bostick is Oregon's first junior college commitment and first commitment at linebacker.

After beating Florida State on Thursday, Oregon picked up a commitment from JUCO linebacker Paris Bostick. Bostick originally committed to the University of Georgia out of high school but transferred to Santa Monica Junior College after a redshirt year. At 6'1, 230 lbs Bostick will likely play inside linebacker for the Ducks and fill a key positional need in the 2015 recruiting class.

Originally recruited as an athlete, Bostick shifted between safety and linebacker at Georgia and played linebacker and running back at Santa Monica CC. A native of Tampa, Florida, he represents the increasing reach and appeal of the Oregon program throughout the country.

Speaking with Matt Prehm of DuckTerritory, Bostick had this to say about the Oregon program and his recruitment:

"Oregon is Oregon. [...] DP came to see me in Santa Monica and it seemed it [sic] right. I'll be up there on the 22nd for my visit. They are doing something right. They are playing for the national title. I just like the vibe I get when I see them, see the energy. They are humble. They work hard. It's a place I want to be personally and as a player."

Bostick is Oregon's 18th commitment in the 2015 class, which currently ranks 20th according to the 247Sports composite ranking system. You can watch his HUDL highlight video below.
