    Your perfect first \\\"real\\\" piano.

Roland is proud to present the HP101 digital piano. An entry-level instrument, the HP101 boasts a 64 voice polyphonic sound source capable of producing 14 fine tones from Rolands expert tone foundry.

It offers a rich, exceptionally realistic grand piano sound, as well as its own Compact Progressive Hammer-Action Keyboard with a varied touch resistance between the upper and lower ranges, just like an acoustic grand.

It also features three pedals, a sliding keyboard cover, and a compact new cabinet that fits almost anywhere. The HP101 is the perfect "first" piano for any home.

On the HP101 there is a Damper Resonance function, which re-creates the rich sympathetic string resonance sound when the damper pedal is pressed.

The keyboards use real hammers rather than springs, providing a lighter touch in the upper range, a heavier touch in the lower range, lighter resistance when playing pianissimo, heavier resistance when playing fortissimo, and a vast touch difference between pianissimo and fortissimo-exactly like an acoustic grand. The keyboard offers a number of key touch adjustment features for greater expression. With the Touch control, you can customize the key touch (Light, Medium, Heavy, or Fixed) on any model in the HP-Series to suit your finger strength and playing style.

    Excellent sounds

A true member of Rolands new single-digit HP family, the HP-1 provides rich, resonant tones and a subtlety even discerning pianists will love. The HP101 is 64-voice polyphonic and contains a digital Reverb effect with selectable depth (8 levels) and a Sympathetic Resonance feature that accurately simulates the vibrant sound you get when you press the damper pedal on an acoustic piano. The touch sensitivity is adjustable, so that even small children can obtain good results. Students could use this function for finger-training exercises.

    High-grade amplification

The HP101s speaker system was designed to maximize the expressive tones of Rolands improved piano sound source. It delivers a truly beautiful sound which comes as no surprise when you realize that the HP101 is manufactured in the country that gave us belcanto and star tenors.

    Surprisingly versatile

In addition to authentic piano sounds, the HP101 offers several other high-quality instrument sounds. And for even more performance fun, you can use the Dual mode for combining - or \\\"layering\\\" - two sounds (Dual) and adjust their volume balance to suit your needs. Other adjustable functions include transposition (-6-+5 semitones), seven different temperaments (tuning systems), and \\\"Stretched Tuning\\\" for an even more vibrant piano sound. Impressive as the above may look in print, theres nothing quite like experiencing the real thing. So why not sit down at the Roland HP101 and face the music? Youll cherish every single note.
