What is screener.be?
Screener.be is a secure, professional VOD platform dedicated to giving international professionals access to audiovisual content made in Flanders and Brussels, Belgium. The platform is aimed at giving foreign film professionals interested in selecting or acquiring Flemish productions easy access to these titles. Screener.be is operated by Flanders Image, the audiovisual export agency, a division of the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF).

Who gets access to screener.be?
Screener.be is intended for professional use only. It is aimed at foreign professionals such as buyers, commissioning editors, curators, programmers, publishers, sales agents, etc. Users receive access (in part or full) only after a thorough examination of their status and position within the audiovisual field. Flanders Image has the right to deny access to screener.be.

How does screener.be work?
Users receive a username and password by a Flanders Image team associate, granting them access to the platform, either in part or full access to the catalogue of titles. Access is limited in time and number of views per title.
Once logged in, users can see an overview of the titles they have access to through their account. Click on any title to get to the page where you can screen it. By clicking on your account, you can change your profile information and check the settings.

How can I apply for access screener.be?
To apply for access, please complete the contact form or get in touch with Flanders Image and activate your request by providing proof that you are active in the audiovisual field. Details such as names, e-mail addresses, organisation and function of screener.be users will be archived in the database, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

How can I watch screener.be?
Log into screener.be with your personal username and password. On both the homepage and your personal account, you will see a playlist of all titles you have access to. Screening is limited to a certain number of views and for a limited period of time. All films on screener.be have English subtitles, except in the case of English dialogue.

What languages are available on screener.be?
All films on screener.be have English subtitles. In most cases subtitles are burnt into the image. In some instances, other languages are available and can be activated by clicking the captions button (CC) on the toolbar at the bottom of the video player.

Can I share films on screener.be with third parties?
No. Screener.be is a tool for individual professionals to screen content from Flanders. We would like to remind you that your username and password are personal. If you want other professionals or colleagues to get access to screener.be (for professional use only), please contact us.
Access to this VOD platform in no way implies that its users are allowed to share its copyright-protected content with third parties, regardless of the platform they use.

The platform is designed to meet the highest security standards. Usernames are coded in the image to prevent copyright infringement. User data on screener.be is processed and archived in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What do I do if I experience problems with screener.be?
First, check your Internet connection. Many problems with regards to video playback are related to user bandwidth, distance from the nearest mirror server, etc.
