Bangkok Design Week
During Bangkok Design Week 2019 Sansiri presents The Alphabet of Joy by Sarah Corynen.
I was invited for a collaboration with Sansiri, one of the biggest real estate firms in Thailand. The exhibition took place from 26th of January to the 3rd of February 2019 on a boat along the Chao Praya river in Bangkok. Since 2018 I am in charge of the graphics and illustrations for Boqua Natural, a range of natural cleaning products, developed & handmade by Bibi Diabokua. Made in Belgium.
The latest arrival in the Boqua Natural family is the Washing Powder and the Softener. With the delightful scents of lavender, ylang ylang and lemongrass.

Animals on track!
Outdoor project for daycare De Villa and KU LEUVEN.
University KU Leuven and daycare De Villa in Heverlee (Belgium) invited me to install an artwork into their huge garden. The goal was to interact with all their toddlers. I have chosen to use the 280 square meters tiled path to paint a multicolor ‘racetrack for animals’. With a real START and FINISH and a very huge Friendly Bear waiting for toddler number one! Fish 1993
In 1993 I got my masters degree in fashion design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. The collection "FISH" was inspired by the ocean, fish and all other underwater animals and creatures. All fabrics were handpainted. Photos © 1993 Johan Mangelschots.

Follow Your Nose
Emma Thyssen portretteert haar op kindermaat gepubliceerde gedachten. En vaak vergroot ze een hersenkronkel uit, terwijl ze jou schaakmat zet, met haar tekenende verbeelding.
Sarah Corynen beschildert en knutselt theatrale oneliners, als gebakken klei en onderneemt initiatieven die – als je jouw neus mag geloven – ruiken naar meer.
Ilse Van Roy kijkt door de werkelijkheid heen en past daar steeds een mouw aan. Ze blaast bellen van glas en breidt of stikt daar soms zelfs een eigenzinnige strik aan.
Wim Wauman staat garant voor verknipt fineerwerk, houterig vuurwerk en verstrooide woorden. Als gediplomeerd doctor (in de kunsten) schrijft hij graag beeldige medicijnen voor ‘onze toekomst’ voor. #Blauwhaus

Color that fits you perfectly!
In this made-to-measure knitwear project all pieces were handmade and 100% merinos wool. Every sweater was made to order, no stock service. A selection of handmade sweaters was sold to the store of Comme Des Garçons Trading Museum in TOKYO, Japan. ‘We Celebrate You’ is a collection of colorful greeting cards, designed to send a friendly message in this fast digital world. Birthdays, new Baby Born, just a Thank You note or a Happy New Year…we celebrate YOU. Printed in Belgium on a 100% recycled (and CO2neutral) 350gsm cardstock. The folded cards measure 14,7cm x 10,5cm & have a blank inside. A bright colored envelope is included. We do not use plastic cellophane wrappings. The different designs are all ligned up in my online shop.

Bespoke wallpapers at Robin Sprong
In January 2017 I met Robin Sprong at Heimtextil Frankfurt and he asked me to compose a small series of my drawings to fit in his made-to-order wallpaper collection. Now, 6 years later he asked me to compose a new selection that is bold and colorful and fits nicely into the previous vibe. This is the result, more to discover on their website!

Cardboard installation at Studioplay
Beginning of this year I designed a large wall installation with hand-painted cardboard objects for StudioPlay (that is Rewind, Play and Forward under one new roof). The grand opening took place Saturday 1st of April but the installation is permanent, so be sure to go and have a look at this beautiful concept store STUDIOPLAY at Kammenstraat 72 in 2000 Antwerp. Collection of handcrafted ceramic urns
During the opening days of the new funeral home Van Dael in Sint-Niklaas, I will show a colorful installation with handmade ceramic urns and small mourning objects. This installation will be a mix of new ceramics and a small selection from my artistic archive. A mini insight into my world.

Workflow
For the expo WORKFLOW I made a colorful set of drawings, a 'comic story' about selling peanuts. I guide the viewer through the production process of the peanut, from ordering to home delivery. The actors are all monkeys and the main slogan is "We are driving you nuts", 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
