RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH

The reign of The Third Reich was meant to last a thousand years. Instead, it ended in only twelve and was laced with war and suffering along the way. The dream of an Aryan master race expanding their boundaries across Europe in all directions became the mission for all German people whose national pride in home, family, and country were evident in what became a way of life to serve and edify the Fatherland. Neighbors pitted against Jewish neighbors in an effort to vanquish an entire race of people off the map of Europe - a mission that was mostly accomplished. Their once doctors, lawyers, clothiers, and family friends were now a banished people. But they would not be merely cast away. Jews suffered in concentration camps where some were literally worked to death while others were put to death or perished of starvation and disease. Their plight was that of pain and agony. In the end, the nationalistic mission of the German people was bombed to rubble. The rebuilding of Berlin started in 1945 and ended in 1984. The ruble was so overwhelming that some of it was simply pushed together to make tall hills buried over by dirt and grown over with grass. Germany paid a heavy price for a utopian dream that resulted in 50 million deaths on all sides.
