How to Improve your Grades Significantly with this 1 Simple Tip

How to Improve your Grades Significantly with this 1 Simple Tip

Chances are if you’re reading this you want to know how to improve your grades with 1 simple tip and who wouldn’t? It’s simple, you don’t need to start drinking green juice, or start exercising more, or start sleeping more — no this simple tip is a lot easier to do and in our opinion much funner! All you need to do, is start studying in groups more often! Yes it’s that simple!

According to a study done by the University of California, San Diego, the research found students who study together and interact online are more likely to be successful and achieve higher grades in classes.

Another study done by an Electrical and Computer Engineering professorMichael Loui showed that students who studied in peer led study groups on average scored 5.5 points higher on the final exam than students that did not study in groups. On top of that, Loui and his team also found that the students that studied in groups had increased confidence and appreciation for intellectual diversity.

This is great research not to be wasted. Not only is it more fun to learn in groups but it should no doubt help you achieve higher grades while boosting your confidence. If you’re looking to create instant study groups at a moments notice at your school then download our free mobile app atwww.joinrendezvous.com and let us know what you think by sending us an email at joinrendezvous@gmail.com

Whats Your Favorite Sport?

Whats your favorite sport? I’m asking you this because how do you really know? Most of us, can only tell you what your favorite sport is based on sports you’ve played in the past and given the options usually it’s not that many.

Plus I find things change as you get older. From loving high impact/energy sports like football, hockey, soccer, ect. To starting to love more social sports like: Golf, Bocce Ball (yes that is a sport ;-p), Volleyball, and generally sports that can be played with less people and more drinks. Just kidding about the drinks ;)

Anyways the reason I am writing this post is because I think people (both young and old) get too attached to what they know and forget to really experiment to see what their missing. So next time you play a sport why not try something new? It might just be your next favorite sport.

Awesome sports You’ve Probably Never Tried:

Bocce Ball

Lawn Bowling (yes it’s not just for seniors)

Cricket

Ultimate Frisbee

Hunting

Mountain Biking

Skiing/snowboarding

Snowshoeing

Rock climbing

Cliff tenting (don’t know if it’s a sport but it’s crazy)

Polo (although expensive, Donkey Polo is a cheaper alternative )

Have other awesome sports we’ve missed? Reblog us your editions :)

How to Create an Awesome Kegger

Alright fans, here are our top 9 tips to hosting an unbelievable kegger for your frat, your school or your wallet! ;)

1. Let Girls in for Free. This seems counter intuitive for your wallet - but the truth is keggers are dominated by guys and the best way to spread word of mouth from girlfriend to girlfriend - is to host a kegger that will let in the girls for free! (Plus guys will pay more if the ratio is better)

2. Never Run Out of Beer. Planning is key. If your going to let in 100 people than you should plan for at least 8 beers a person or 800 beers or 4.5 kegs.

3. Have a Guest List. When you start telling people about your kegger, ask them if you want them to be on your guest list because your only letting in so many people. Naturally, they will say of course. Then tell them to tell others to contact you if they want on the guest list. This is how you spread word of mouth fast ;). People on the guest list should get something. Perhaps $5 off, or bigger cups at the kegger! ;)

4. Great Music. Unforgettable keggers have unforgettable music. Invest in a DJ - or get one of your friends to take charge in making sure the tunes are always right to liven up the crowd. Along with the DJ goes a good sound system - rent one if need be.

5. Bigger Cups. Don’t skimp out on the cups! Buy bigger full sized plastic cups - no one likes having to refill their drinks, so don’t cheap out on such a simple tip.

6. Multiple Kegs in Multiple Locations. For every 50 people you should have one keg running. It’s simple math. You shouldn’t have to wait 15 mins to get a beer.

7. Awesome Door People. Lastly, make sure every bouncer is friendly and fun - enthusiastic friendly bouncers will ensure everyone gets a warm welcome which makes the world of difference for all your guests. As no one likes a bouncer on a power trip!

8. Get Free Stuff. Contact RedBull, Beer Companies and other products and try to get them to sponsor your party. You’ll be surprised how easy it is to get free stuff to make your party even more rememberable.

9. Use Rendezvous. Naturally, we recommend using Rendezvous. ;) Yes, we may be biased. But we’re building a truly awesome way to promote your next kegger in a fun cool social way. :)

Have any others to add to our list? Let us know!! :)

Something We Can All Agree On

“The Internet age has damaged the beauty of relationships to a certain extent. I’ll speak for myself. “Looking” for a girl feels like I’m running down a checklist while a bunch of her info is on the internet. Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram all show people in pieces. What I learned today is I want to learn a person as a whole. I don’t want to be your text buddy. I want your hand, and not because your Facebook profile said you love how I met your mother or the New York Knicks. I want to hold your hand because we’ll fly to new horizons. Now that’s an idea I’m in love with. This definition is rather more mature and everlasting. At the same time it even sounds more realistic.”

Q
Hey there thanks for liking my photos, I wanted to drop in and write to you and say that your app idea is pretty awesome. I myself have a lot of hobbies and end up not having people to share em with so I think your app could be really good for me as a nerd, collector and artist. I also have spent 3 years in toronto and I studied at humber college for art. I have a photography and graphic design skills that i would love to use for your app. Let me know if you need help with art/visual promo.
A

That is awesome!! Really happy to hear you like our idea, we are hoping to launch in a few weeks. Fingers crossed.

Any help is greatly appreciated, at this stage we need to hit critical mass in Toronto in order for the app to really help do what its suppose to do. So any way to get people using it - is awesome!

If you have any ideas - let us know. Some street art would be pretty rad!
