BOCA KETO IN ARIKOK by STEVE FRANCEES
Boca Keto is in the Arikok National Park and will surprise you with a wonderful scenery. Around 9am in the morning it’s the best time to see the colors of the white dunes with the blue ocean in the background, buy no tours will be there at that time. You can hike for 50 minutes from Daimari Ranch, follow the coastline and you will reach Boca Keto. Also from Natural Pool, go left, North-West and in 25 minutes hiking you will see this beauty.

BLOWHOLE IN ARIKOK by STEVE FRANCEES
BLOWHOLE IN ARIKOK by STEVE FRANCEES
To reach the blowhole in the Arikok National Park, you must first go to the Natural Pool. Than walk on the rocky coastline for 1 hour till you reach the blowhole. No tours will take you there, so you must do it on your own and wear good shoes and take plenty of water. The last time we went there we camped very close to the blowhole to shoot it at sunrise. The blowhole can blow an average of 70 feet high and is the biggest on the island. In the picture you can see my tent way in the background.

One of the most photographed images of Aruba is the remains of an old pier of the “Arend(Eagle) Petroleum Maatschappij” started operations in 1928.
The Refinery was part of the Royal Shell Group and was very successful but during WW2 they stop all their activities for safety reasons but after the war decided to stop completely and dismantle the refinery but the last pier can be seen till today as the Pelican Poles.
