I'm Sebastian Levy, a Dual Degree Masters of Science Student at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). My degrees are in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering & Technology Innovation Management. I did my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto, where I did Soft Robotic Perception Research under Professor Xinyu Liu in the Microfluidics and BioMEMS Lab.
I'm currently in my second semester at CMU, focusing on R&D/Technology Management in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics.
Ever wanted a Capri-Sun but couldn't find one with flavours you like? This project makes custom pre-packaged drinks by pouring drinks into pouches and then heat-sealing them.
The goal of this thesis was to be able to let a robot “see” an object, identify it, and figure out the best way to grab it.
This project focuses on solving the problem of dirt build-up on solar panels, with a tool to apply a cleaning solution that boosts the panels' energy efficiency.
Using SOLIDWORKS, I designed a wire-controlled, 3D-printed robotic hand and implemented real-time hand gesture recognition.
