JOE LYNN CHERRY
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 23, 1971 the son of Bobby Joe and Helen Jean Franks Cherry.
On July 14, 2001 he was united in marriage to Wanda Kay Tanner, who survives.
Lynn as he was known by everyone was a Watch Captain for American Commercial Lines. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Lynn loved fishing, deer hunting, drag racing and being outdoors. He most of all loved spending time with his family and friends and working on the towboat.
Lynn departed this life on March 28, 2015 in Louisiana at the age of 43 years, 8 months and 5 days.
In addition to his wife of 13 years, Wanda of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Colby, Timothy, Kayla and her boyfriend Eric Simpson, whom he thought of like a son, all of Savannah, Tennessee.

Lynn was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carrie and Lawrence Peerey and Winnie and Floyd Cherry.
