For over 30 years as a counselor my goal has been to provide a trustworthy, caring, and supportive relationship that helps people work toward significant change with renewed confidence and hope.
I work with individuals and couples to help them achieve greater clarity about their challenges and to establish effective strategies for lasting change. With couples I use the empirically validated approach of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to help them break patterns of disconnection and emotional distance and create relationships that are close, secure, and life-giving.
I routinely work with individuals and couples who seek to contextualize counseling within their Christian faith journey.
My work with individuals often focuses on the important patterns of attachment and their underlying longings, emotions, and values. I help individuals understand the ways these are tapped by the distress or uncertainty of major life events, transitions, or in conflicted relationships, so that they can respond with integrity and live meaningful, satisfying lives.
A segment of my work explores the meaning and spiritual significance of one’s challenges within the larger arc of their life before God.
My fee is $180 per 50 minute session.
My goal is to help couples deepen their connection by strengthening the security and resiliency of their relationship. This begins by recognizing the way a couple’s pattern of interaction can restrict the very thing they want most when conflict and intense emotions arise. I coach couples to develop close and caring patterns of relating while addressing important underlying concerns, and help them effectively resolve hurt feelings and break habitual patterns of conflict.
I use the empirically proven approach of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy.
My fee is $180 per 50 minute session.
