I tried the note edge for a week, battery was shit using the camera was shit. I downgraded to the note 4. Still my favorite phone. Ill probably scoop up the s6 but the normal version, only because i want to own every galaxy out there.

@masaker you iz such a phone hoe

Je suis plus du genre fonctionnalité au delà de l'apparence du téléphone Pcq il va finir dans un otterbox comme tous mes autres cell.

Decisions decisions

oublie le 6 edge alors avec un otterbox tu va scraper le set up de side screen

I had a S4 before it broke (my fault, dropped the phone). Overall I liked the phone but I was annoyed by the Samsung bloatware which is even worse on the S5. These are the reasons I moved away from Samsung and got the LG G3 (the price was also a big factor), I find the LG G3 to have much less bloatware. For the S6, they seemed to have addressed this. Don't get tied into phone specs, while the Samsung S6 chipset is the best on paper, once integrated into the phone, early reports suggests the Apple 6 outshines the S6.

The biggest problem with these phones is battery consumption, none are capable of keeping 1-day charge under regular usage which is very annoying and my biggest pet peeve with these so-called smartphones.

I do like my LG G3 (removable battery and it comes with 32GB) and I may never go back to Samsung (the Edge looks like a gimmick to me). I would wait for the LG G4 announcement and also look at the HTC M9.

I wanted to go Nexus from my Galaxy but with the S6 they added up a fingerprint reader and NFC POS transaction. Major pluses even though they got rid of the removable battery and expansion mem card slot.

I'll wait since my phone is still good (s4)

Represent Sony Z3 for the win.

++
Fully waterproof
SD card
fast CPU with separate GPU
battery and camera are surprisingly good
screen is large, sharp and bright
nylon "bumper" corners make it shatter resistant
magnetic charge port
supports double-tapping screen to turn on
great integration with PS4
can use PS3/PS4 controller for gaming, connect to a TV for added effect and Android gaming

--
rear glass panel looks good but is slippery
Canadian model does not ship with magnetic charge cable (must be ordered off amazon)
Sony apps are hit and miss, some are great but some are just annoying

Overall I'm happy with mine.

The smartphone market is mature now, there is not much room for innovation. Battery life is #1 for me, and with larger screens and higher resolution it goes against it.
Battery life being my #1 criteria, which newly released android phone should I pick?

speaking of battery life.

I just pull out of the drawer an old blackberry bold something something (the best they had back in the days). Holy shit things have changed, and not only in a good way !
- keyboard : everybody was swearing by these when touch screens came out. Unable to type shit on a key board now !
- size of screen is not bad. the fact that it is square makes it pretty efficient
- handling : by far still the best feel in hand
- battery is a joke : kept it in my jacket for a week, phone was still working !!!

been using an S3 for the past 3 years and my wife has a iphone 5s fyi

Je comprend l'idée de vouloir maximiser la surface d'écran mais ça me gosse tellement de toujours toucher l'écran sans le vouloir quand je manipule mon téléphone. Je vais passer mon tour avec le edge.

Good luck. The only way I have been able to get 1+ day of battery life is by:

- disabling LTE (power hog) and putting the phone on 4G
- reduce display brightness
- reduce sync features
- disable Bluetooth when not required
- disable location when not required
- don't play games

If I use the phone for texting, emailing and occasional conversations then I get almost 2-days. Smartphones aren't that smart after all.

Same goes for the S5 (a friend of mine gets 15-17 hours before needing a full recharge), Apple 6 and others...

Remember the days of the Motorola Razr V5, probably the best phone I ever had. Battery lasted forever and the call reception was excellent.

I have a Note3

while driving its charging

desk = wireless charging pod

sleeping = wireless charging pod

phone never dies on me or ever gets close to it

Sace im sure if you have car charger + desk pod/charger + charge when sleeping you should be ok no ?

I use my Note 3 like crazy btw

I'd say a note 4 + second battery + charging pods will be just fine for you
