Meet the Staff Atholl Swainston-Harrison, Chief Executive Atholl studied music (violin) in South Africa before completing his army service and managing the Pro Music Orchestra and Opera Company, becoming Assistant Director of the Roodepoort City Theatre and Opera (Johannesburg) thereafter. He took on the role of Chief Executive of IAMA from 2000 after further study in London. In his spare time, he serves as a trustee on the West London Hospital Trust, Alex Simpson Smith Memorial Trust (Great Ormond Street, London) and Howard Davis Farm Trust (Jersey) and Central Council member of the Royal Over-seas League. He was a trustee of the University of Natal UK Trust (98-2017); Council member of the Royal Philharmonic Society (2015-2021). He is a member of the Royal Philharmonic Society and Royal Society of Musicians. In February 2022, he received an Association of British Orchestras award for services to the music profession, The job as Chief Executive, is to implement Board policy and to broaden the effective reach of the Association in the interests of artists and the profession of artist management. Send Atholl a message Orla Molony, Manager: Administration & Operations Orla studied music and german at University College Dublin, then did a Masters in music at Queen's University Belfast before doing a Grad. Dip. in Education at the University of Limerick. She played violin with the NYOI for ten years and is also a qualified violin teacher. Since moving to London she has worked at ENO, Intermusica, the Association of British Orchestras and Universal Music. The Manager: Administration & Operations is responsible for all day-to-day activity of the Association, including finance management, website and database maintenance and development, and preparation for the Association's conferences.
