Parking: There is room for parking behind the Mahiermont building, or on the Place de Genval nearby.

The Theme

The team is "the 30's" -like the prohibition period- simply because it's our 30 years birthday party (and it happens that some of us do not dislike single malt distilled products). You are kindly (but firmly) asked to disguise yourself accordingly. Google image is your friend, in case of lack of inspiration (we insist on the finely carved moustache (for man only, it is)). Invited people who will be "Bob" are suggested to come dressed in police(wo)men or assistant to Eliot Ness, in order to chase illegal distillers and their friends. In order to make that requirement more tempting, let's say that our disguised friends will benefit from some gifts from the black market when they come around organizers (by asking for it very discretely).

Contest: On top of that, a disguise contest will take place: Note that we are five organizers, and that 5 times 30 is equal to 150. And a very special event took place 150 years ago! Search for that historical event, and guess what will be offered to the winners?

At what time are you expected to come?

9pm, sharp!

Let's make it simple: the punctual ones will be offered more free drinks than the others, and will have more room for parking closer to the Mahiermont building.

Extra information

Because we know staying/dancing/drinking all night is likely to make you very hungry, there will be pitas and hamburgers to be ordered by you just outside the main room! The provider will be no one else than "the pita reseller of the louvain-la-neuve Tuesday market" - the one with the giant garlic-samouraï pitas (among other possibilities)!

The entry to the party is free (but this is a private party, so you have to be invited to join), of course, and a non-neglectible amount of drinks will be provided for free (especially if you come early). Nevertheless we recommend that you bring some money with you to buy extra drinks at our bar, at very low prices.

Bring your 3G/4G smartphones, install a twitter application and register to twitter, if not already done: a giant tweetwall will be displayed in the main room, to make the party more geeky and interactive (yes, and twitter is so typical of the 30's! How did Al Capone escape Eliot Ness for so long otherwise?)
