About the Exhibition

Basingstoke Camera Club has been running an exhibition for many years. We stopped accepting prints in the late 90's when were unable to locate a suitable venue for displaying them, and switched to slides only.

In 2007, we opened our exhibition to digital images, whilst still accepting slides. Following that success, and with an eye to the future and the changing face of photography, we switched to digital-only entries.

As far as we know, we were the first UK exhibition to accept images via a website, allowing an entry to be made entirely electronically.

In late 2011, we became a member exhibition of the BPE (British Photographic Exhibitions), so from the 2012 Exhibition onwards, accepted images will count towards BPE Crown Awards. Additionally, since 2012 the Exhibition has had the honour of having been granted Patronage by the PAGB (Photographic Alliance of Great Britain).

Our Supported Charity

St. Michael’s Hospice is an independent charity based in Basingstoke, supporting people across North Hampshire who have a life-limiting illness, are facing the end of life or experiencing bereavement.

Our dedicated team of nurses, doctors, and therapists deliver free, high quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients, their families and carers.

With less than 16% of our funds provided by the NHS, the rest is raised thanks to the generosity and kindness of our community.

Basingstoke Camera Club is delighted to be able to continue our support for St. Michael's Hospice as our primary supported charity.

RESULTS ARE AVAILABLE

Congratulations to all those who gained acceptances and awards.

For those who were unsuccessful, we hope you are not too disappointed. The standard of entries was high and many good images did not make the cut. Your support is still very much appreciated, especially in contributing to our supported charity, and we hope you'll enter again next year.
