Websites to buy used bikes in France

Hi,

I am new to France and would like to explore Paris on bike. I would be here for few months so was looking to buy a cheap used bike. However, I am finding it extremely difficult to find a decent websites where these kind of ads are listed. We have something like gumtree.com in UK where people can list items they want to sell. Is there something like that in France or specifically for Paris where I can search for bikes? Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Troc-Velo

I haven't used it myself, but people I work with recommended https://www.troc-velo.com/ as a good place to buy used bikes and parts in France.

What about renting? Is it easy to find rented bikes in Paris? How much does it cost on average?

I actually recently looked into this, I was hoping to rent a road bike for a month for my GF over the August holiday. The only bike rentals I found were for city or hybrid bikes, and upwards of 100EUR/week with a 500 or 600EUR deposit. In the end we bought her an aluminum frame road bike with campy xenon components and no-name wheels for roughly 300EUR at GoSport. We figured we could sell it at the end of the month, but she liked it enough that she took it back home to the US.

The above are great sites for "serious" bikes, and bits and pieces. But if you just want a cheap street or knock-around bike, the main online "Craig's List" type site is:
