• Alison started her career in the International Office of Stellenbosch University (South Africa). She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the same university. On arrival in Brussels she focused her attention on the not-for-profit sector, working for organizations involved in caring for those most in need in the society.

    As a manager of Serve the City she successfully developed a network of local partners to support specific initiatives. She set up and managed volunteer events and awaydays for the staff of Brussels-based businesses and EU institutions. At Oasis Belgium, Alison focused on children at risk. She was responsible for developing a central competency for the organization which helps those in difficulty to navigate the complexity of the local bureaucracy.

    With 10 years’ experience in the local not-for-profit sector, she is well acquainted with local social challenges and existing services available to those in need. Her hands-on approach helps companies to maximize the potential of the CSR programmes they want to implement in order to get the best results for both the company and the local community.

    Alison has dual, South African and French, citizenship. She is married with two children. Fluent in English and Afrikaans, she speaks French, and some Dutch and German.
