Aether & Hemera is a multi-disciplinary art and design studio, producing work that lies at the intersections of contemporary installation, lighting art and interaction design.

Founded in 2008 by Gloria Ronchi, the studio often utilises the medium of light combined with digital media to create engaging spaces that connect people with their environment

Gloria has a mixed background in science (MSc, Politecnico di Milano, 1999) and the arts (MA, Brera Fine Art Academy, Milan, 2004), developed through her education as well as her practice.

Aether & Hemera's artistic vision is to provoke memories, explore aesthetic interactions and elicit feelings of connective human experiences in a required-to-participate audience.

Aether & Hemera’s diverse works – in lighting sculpture, video, and installation - have been exhibited internationally at a broad range of events and locations including, among others,  Canary Wharf (UK - 2012, 2017), Vivid Festival in Sydney (AU 2013), Amsterdam Light Festival (NL - 2014, 2016),  Enlighten Canberra (AUS -  2014, 2017), Baltimore Light City (USA - 2016, 2018), Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew (UK 2018), Jerusalem Light Festival (IS - 2016,2018), Dubai Emaar Art (UAE - 2018), Constellation Festival in Metz (FR - 2018), Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (SCO - 2019), Chelsey Creek (UK- 2021), La Défense, Paris (FR - 2021).
