tattoos
If you are interested in having a tattoo designed in Arabic calligraphy, I would be more than happy to work with you on a design, both the calligraphy and translation, if needed. I do this work all by hand with a reed pen, these designs are not translated by a machine and then spit out of a computer.
I am not a tattoo artist- I do not apply the tattoo. I send you a scan of my design which you take to a tattoo artist near you who will make a transfer. I do not mail the original file, though if you are interested in an original piece, I am happy to discuss this.
Normal turnaround for your design is roughly 2 weeks. Expedited service (48 hour and 24 hour) is available if needed. Please put “urgent” in the subject line if this is the case.
Please have a look at my Styles page to get an idea of the different styles I work in, and see which jump out at you.
Please fill out the form below to get started.
Terms and Conditions:
-I retain the commercial rights to all calligraphy. In other words, these are for personal use, period. No commercial use. If you’d like to put a design on your products, please see my commercial projects page.
-Please view my revision policies for info on redesigns.
-All calligraphy must be paid for in full before I start working. I’m sorry it has to be like this, you can thank those who decided not to pay.
What I will not do:
-Design tattoos of offensive phrases.
-Check the spelling of words you had translated. I am happy to translate, but only with the purchase of a design.
-Tell you the translation of examples on my site. They are examples of my work, not stencils for the ganking.
-Tell you if the Arabic tattoo you got is correct.
-Cover up jobs. I can design a piece of calligraphy for you, but it is between you and your tattooist how they cover your existing work.
-Design pieces in the shape of: dragons, paw prints, faces (human or animal), or flowers. They do not work. Trust me.
-Copy a piece you found on the internet. You can definitely send me inspiration images, but I don't outright copy other pieces.
Keep in mind, this is an analog cottage industry in a digital age, and ultimately I’m just one artist trying to do my thing.
Thanks,
Josh
